It’s Our Home is an educational nonprofit that rates environmental justice as a top priority. Its vision is to have a world with clean air, water, food and energy for all.
Richard Owen, who founded Environmental Cleanup Coalition in 2011, was passionate about cleaning up plastic pollution in the ocean and exploring innovative alternatives to over-fishing. When he died in 2016, the group’s name was changed to It’s Our Home to better reflect an evolving focus on a community-building approach to sustainability and stewardship.
