Elected as district attorney in June 2010, Jeffrey Rosen first joined the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office in 1995. Prior to that, he worked for law firms in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., and practiced commercial litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, where he majored in philosophy, and received his law degree from UC Berkeley’s School of Law.

He most recently won reelection in the June 2022 primary.

In addition to serving as the county’s top prosecutor, Rosen has been active in the community, serving as president of a large synagogue and teaching trial advocacy at Santa Clara University Law School.
