The assessor’s office is responsible for appraisals of all real and personal property in Yolo County (except public utility property, which is appraised by the State Board of Equalization). The assessor is elected by voters countywide to serve a four-year term. The assessor prepares the local assessment roll, identifying each property, the ownership, and the net taxable value. Yolo County’s assessment roll is over $30 billion and consists of more than 67,000 assessments. Office staff work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
