The Board of Supervisors is the elected legislative body of the County of Yolo; its five members are elected by district in non-partisan races and serve four-year staggered terms. The Board of Supervisors sets and adopts policies and establishes programs for city departments and also fixes salaries, appropriates funds and adopts their annual budgets. The five supervisors also sit as the governing body for In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority, Yolo County Financing Corporation, six county service areas and 13 fire districts. Board members individually serve as liaisons to numerous advisory bodies and participate in a number of regional governing bodies. 

Meetings: The Board of Supervisors typically meets on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m.
