Like other amateur radio clubs, the El Dorado ARC helps keeps the community safe by being prepared for emergency radio communication in times of disaster.
The group sponsors the El Dorado County Neighborhood Radio Watch Group on Facebook, which is intended for use by El Dorado County residents who are interested in local General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) Neighborhood Radio Watch safety programs.
