Ellie Wooten is a native of San Francisco who moved to Cameron Park in 2012. She is a resident of the Senior Park at the corner of Green Valley Road and Cameron Park Drive, and actively participates in activities. The Board of Directors appointed Ellie to fill a vacancy in 2017 and she was elected to a four-year term by residents in 2019. Ellie is an ambassador for the Shingle Springs-Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce, an active member of the Newcomers Club, and chair of the Elks Club Government Relations and Gang Awareness. Before arriving in Cameron Park, Wooten gained a broad background in community service and brings a wealth of experience to her position on the district board. She was elected mayor of the city of Merced for two terms; while in office, she was instrumental in bringing the University of California to Merced. Wooten served as vice president to the American Legion Auxiliary, Merced Post 83. As a Cameron Park Service District board member, Wooten is passionate about contributing to Cameron Park. She welcomes emails from residents.
