Running as an incumbent and billing himself as “the independent voice,” Jason Campbell won reelection to the Seaside City Council in 2018. “My position on the council has transitioned,” he said on his campaign website, “from often being the sole dissenting vote on critical matters, to supporting split votes, which are more likely to result in actions by the Council which will bring results benefiting the residents first.”

First elected: November 2014

Day job: Owner of a landscape contracting business

Notable quote: “The sustainable and environmental policies of our city are still in need of bolstering and I will be their strongest advocate, recognizing how much a healthy natural environment translates to a healthy community.” (Source: CampbellForSeasideCouncil.com)
