On her LinkedIn page, Amy Tomlinson describes herself as “a results-driven, combat-proven leader who flawlessly executes any task in the most demanding, high-stress environments.” She brought that grace under pressure to the Pacific Grove City Council in 2018—hopefully a far less stressful job than being the first woman aviator selected to the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron.

In addition to her council duties, Tomlinson works as a project development director at Concentric Power, an intelligent microgrid developer of agricultural, industrial, and community applications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Santa Clara University. According to her council biography, Tomlinson seeks to provide high-quality public services and enhance the quality of life in a community that protects historic resources, promotes sustainable development and ensures respect for the environment.
