The staff of the Public Works Department is divided into six divisions. Engineering Services provides quality construction and inspections; Parks and Recreation cares for city parks and leisure resources; and the Public Facilities division keeps streets, sidewalks, and other city infrastructure in good working order. The Water Quality Control division delivers water and sewer services, and Fleet Maintenance staff service the city’s vehicles and equipment.

Other resources handled by Public Works include administration of garbage services, graffiti abatement, and emergency response support to the fire and police departments.
