The King City Recreation Department offers programs on a year-round basis at its public parks, tennis courts, ball fields and more. The pool is open during the summer months for swimming lessons, lap swimming, aqua aerobics and recreational family swimming. The department offers day camp during the summer months and youth sports programs throughout the year. The city partners with groups to promote activities, including King City Little League, King City Adult Softball, South Monterey County Youth Soccer, Salinas Valley Fair, King City Youth Football and Cheer, King City Swim Club, and King City High School Athletic Department.
