The King City Fire Department is made up of about 30 volunteer firefighters who train regularly to ensure preparedness. The department provides emergency medical response, fire protection and other public safety services. The department is equipped with three type-1 engines and a type-1 reserve engine. Firefighters meet the first three Tuesdays of the month; the first meeting is for department business, and the next two are for training.
