DIRECTOR'S WEBSITE    

Vice Chair Paul Wilford was first elected to the Fire District Board of Directors in 2010. Originally from Southern California, Wilford moved to Truckee in 1975 from Reno. From 1972 to 1980, he worked as a seasonal ski patrolman in the winter and as a firefighter in other seasons. In 1981, he began working for the Nevada Division of Forestry as a firefighter and was eventually promoted to fire captain. Wilford retired from the Sierra Fire Protection District in 2008. He has held positions on numerous committees throughout his career in the fire service.

The Nevada County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution on Tuesday, Feb. 11, adopting the Truckee Fire Protection District's (TFPD) Capital Improvement Plan, Mitigation Fee Annual Expenditure Plan, and 5-Year Findings Report for fiscal year 2024/25. The plan includes annual inflationary adjustments to Development Impact Mitigation Fees, commonly known as AB 1600 Fees.
