Erin Prado was appointed to the Truckee Fire Protection District Board in September 2017, and elected in 2018. Born in Redwood City, Prado moved to Tahoe City in 1984 and attended Tahoe Lake Elementary and North Tahoe High School. After high school, she moved to Del Mar, Calif., and attended the Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach. She came back to the area to manage her family's Italian restaurant. During her tenure the cistrict has implemented important administrative, fire prevention and operational initiatives including districtwide informational technology updates, an annual balanced budget, and positive annual financial audits.
