Nevada Irrigation District Board of Directors Director Rich Johansen

Rich Johansen is a fourth-generation farmer and has resided in Nevada County for a large portion of his life. His great-grandfather first came to the region in 1854. He brings to the NID board an extensive background in agriculture, including 18 years of service to local organizations. As a certified organic farmer, he has served on the Nevada County Agricultural Commission for 16 years. He has also been vice chair of the Nevada County Planning Commission and president of the Land Trust.
