Loomis has a town clerk on staff and also an elected town clerk, who serves part time. Crickett Strock formerly filled both positions, but in October she retired from the staff position and was replaced by Carol Parker. Strock will serve as elected town clerk until the next election.

The town clerk serves as the keeper of records in Loomis, preparing Town Council legislative agendas and minutes, posting legal notices, providing access to historical records, and maintaining the town’s municipal code and town seal. The town clerk administers local elections and acts as filing officer for conflict of Interest statements and campaign filings, and receives all claims, summons, appeals and suits related to town government. In addition, the clerk processes applications for boards, commissions and volunteers.
