Planning Commissioner Stephanie Youngblood made a bid for Loomis Town Council in the November 2022 election and came out as the top vote-getter. During her campaign, Youngblood emphasized her support for law enforcement and emergency responders, her intention to promote economic growth and improve infrastructure. And though it’s not really within the purview of the Town Council, her campaign also champions “the return to traditional education in Loomis schools—the teaching of Mathematics, English, History, and Science—defending against the depraved agendas of those who target our children.”
Youngblood got her bachelor's degree in government and journalism from Sacramento State University and has been involved with the California State Sheriff's Association and the California Department of Water Resources. She received endorsements from the Placer County GOP Central Committee and the American Council, as well as from many elected officials around the county.
Notable quote: “People want to live in Loomis because the community offers a unique quality of life, blending rural and suburban. Future growth must be measured and reasonable. To move Loomis forward and keep its rich heritage, we need to work together.” (Source: Candidate statement)
