Under the purview of the city manager, the Office of Emergency Management is at the ready for all disasters, natural or man-made, with thorough plans for response and recovery. The Emergency Operations Center also operates under SacOEM, with a staff trained to “ensure unified, enduring support to first responders and the community for the duration of any disaster.”
