Rich Lozano has been married to his wife, Pam, for more than 28 years, and their entire family—including their two adult daughters—have been active in public services for many years. Their community involvement includes coaching youth soccer and softball, as well as assisting with toy drives and other charity events. Lozano is also a member of the Galt Sunrise Rotary Club. He is a longtime employee of the Elk Grove Unified School District and currently works as the director of the Safety, Security and Police Services Division. He won a second term on the council in the November 2022 general election.

Three years after his first term as mayor, Paul Sandhu will one again lead Galt City Council. At its Dec. 5 meeting, Council chose Sandhu and Rich Lozano to serve as mayor and vice mayor in the coming year.
