State law requires a general law city, like Galt, to have a city clerk. The position may be elected or appointed. The city clerk is elected every four years. Tina Hubert was appointed to the elected position of city clerk and successfully ran for the office in December 2020. She also is Galt’s assistant city clerk, which is a full-time appointed position.
