If the early results hold up, Hollister will have a new mayor for the first time in more than a decade. As of Nov. 9, Mia Casey is leading the race for mayor of Hollister with about 59% of the vote.
In the Nov. 8 election for the Hollister City Council District 3 seat, incumbent Dolores Morales will face small-business owner Rosalinda Sanchez.
In the City of Hollister, voters will elect their mayor and two city council members—in Districts 2 and 3.
Hollister is on the search for a new full-time, long-term city clerk after the City Council voted 3-1 to fire former City Clerk Christine Black without stating a reason.
The famed Hollister Fourth of July motorcycle rally may not be happening this year, but it might return for 2023 if the voters say so in this November’s election.
