Since being elected to the Hollister City Council, Honor Spencer has dedicated her efforts to the area’s children. “There’s nothing here for our kids,” she told San Benito Live while running for office in 2018. “They go to school. They go home. They sit. There’s nothing. My biggest goal for this town is to fund a community center for them, and not just for them but for generations to come.” The 25-year-resident is intent on leaving a positive legacy for her kids and grandkids. Spencer works at San Benito High School and is a member of the Juvenile Justice Commission for San Benito County, along with being a board director at Monterey Bay Air Resource District.

On April 19, 2021, reported SanBenito.com, Spencer resigned from the council when she moved away from the area.

First elected: Nov. 6, 2018

Alma maters: Arizona State University (bachelor’s degree, psychology); Gavilan College (associate's degree, adminstration of justice).

Notable quote: “During my short time as a council member, I’ve had an inside view on how things work, we have made great strides and we have done this by working together. We can continue doing this by being a united community. We, together, can continue our hometown values while looking to the future of Hollister.” (Source: BenitoLink.com)
