Miguel Villapudua is a native of San Joaquin County, having grown up on a farm just outside of Stockton. He is the youngest of five children and graduated from Franklin High School. Before getting into politics, Villapudua worked in the trucking industry and served on the San Joaquin Planning Commission for eight years. Now in his second term, he is currently serving as vice chair. He is also a board member of the Latino Caucus of California Counties. Locally in Stockton, he and his wife are known for their excellent cooking.
