Steven Ding is a Stockton native who got his first job working at his parents’ store after school. This led to his own paper route and busing tables to get ahead at a young age. A graduate of Stagg High School, Supervisor Ding went to Chico State and then decided to get into politics after being inspired by the grievances of small-business owners regarding the Chico City Council.

He is the owner of a local restaurant, serves on the board of Lodi’s Boys & Girls Club, and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the California Restaurant Association.

First elected: Nov. 8, 2022

Day job: Owner of Woodbridge Crossing Restaurant

Alma mater: Chico State

Notable quote: I am a small business owner that’s tired of the status quo and I’m getting involved to create change in my community.  I bring the experience necessary to direct and supervise the county on smart policies that benefit our region.” (Source: Recordnet.com)
