City of Palo Alto Parks and Recreation Commission Commissioner Amanda Brown

Native Palo Altan Amanda “Mandy” Brown says in her biography that she enjoys playing tennis, mountain biking, visiting dog parks, and hiking in the local open spaces. She believes that parks make life better and looks forward to serving her hometown community. Brown and her husband live in Old Palo Alto with their Bernese mountain dog. Brown has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality administration from Boston University, a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from San Jose State University, and a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University. She currently works as a senior management analyst in the City Manager’s Office of Hillsborough.
