250 Hamilton Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94301

Formerly a nine-member body until Measure D was enacted in 2019, the Palo Alto City Council consists of seven members who serve the city at large rather than representing a geographic district. The councilmembers serve four-year terms; annually, they select that year’s mayor and vice mayor. Council races are held in the general election, which is held in November in even-numbered years.

Meetings: Held on the first, second, and third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Meetings are cablecast live on Government Channel 26 or 29 and broadcast via KZSU Radio, 90.1 FM.
