In 2020, Ed Lauing came in fifth in a 10-person race for four seats on the Palo Alto City Council. Two years later, he tried again and this time was successful. His experience with the city includes more than a decade of serving on advisory commissions for the city of Palo Alto. He is a three-time CEO who now recruits senior executives for CEOs and investors. Lauing’s priorities include housing, public safety and sustainability. He is committed to meeting Palo Alto’s goal of 80 percent reduction of greenhouse gasses by 2030.
