The commission advises the City Council on matters pertaining to recreation, leisure, and nutrition services for the senior citizens of Milpitas. The seven commissioners and two alternate members are appointed to three-year terms.
Unless held virtually, meetings take place in the Barbara Lee Senior Center, Room 140/141, 40 N Milpitas Blvd, on the fourth Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October, and December at 1:30 p.m.
