The Economic Development and Trade Commission advises the City Council on business issues and international trade relationships, and makes recommendations on the design and implementation of economic development in Milpitas. Seven commissioners and two alternate members are appointed to three-year terms. Appropriate interest and expertise in appointees include the following: the Chamber of Commerce, the Milpitas Unified School District, real estate, resident, business, technology and trade.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m.
