A nonprofit organization serving the terminally ill and their families, Hospice of Santa Cruz County was founded in 1978. It offers an extensive array of services, including care at home, skilled nursing facilities, residential communities for the elderly, and other home-like settings.

Hospice focuses on five different areas:
