The seven-member Arts Commission advises the City Council on policies that enhance the aesthetic and cultural quality of life in Santa Cruz. Appointed by the council, commissioners are volunteers with a strong commitment to the arts.

The Arts Commission meets seven to eight times a year on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 809 Center St. Summer and winter recesses vary year to year.
