Eduardo Montesino was elected to the District 1 seat on the Watsonville City Council in 2020 after running for the spot unopposed. It is his second stint on the city council. Born in Mexico, Montesino moved to Watsonville as a kid. He became a bus driver for Santa Cruz Metro and worked his way up to become supervisor at the transit operation. He said his experience working with other public entities paved the way for his career as a councilman. He is the father of four children.
