SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. â Among other rate increases from Liberty Utilities and Southwest Gas, the city of South Lake Tahoe announced a proposed rate increase for solid waste collection. A fire that broke out in a hotel room at the Hampton Inn in Folsom on Sunday has caused what fire officials describe as moderate damage to several rooms and floors of the multi-story hotel located on Placerville Road.

Though the holiday has evolved over time to honor all U.S. military veterans, the essence of its observance remains rooted in gratitude and remembrance.
