The City of Monterey Fire Department serves Monterey neighborhoods as well as the cities of Pacific Grove, Carmel-by-the-Sea, and Sand City, the Presidio of Monterey, Naval Postgraduate School, La Mesa Village, and Monterey Regional Airport. The department maintains six stations and provides emergency response, fire code enforcement, and public education services.
