Bill Ragsdale-Cronin was appointed to the Del Rey Oaks City Council in February of 2023, the end result of a contentious process that came down to a choice between two candidates after four others withdrew their applications. Ragsdale-Cronin says he is committed to using his time on the council to heal what has become a divided city politically. The city also recently welcomed a new mayor—former councilmember Scott Donaldson, whose win opened up the disputed vacancy.
Ragsdale-Cronin is a longtime Monterey County resident, having worked at the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency for 44 years, most recentely as maintenance supervisor, and now in a similar position at Santa Catalina School. He is a native of Salinas and is married with three daughters.
First joined the council: February 2023
Other positions held: Prior to his appointment, Ragsdale-Cronin served on the Del Rey Oaks Planning Commission.
