City of Soledad City Council Council Member Ben Jimenez Jr.

A former councilmember and mayor, Ben Jimenez Jr. returned to the Soledad City Council in 2020. A resident of the city for most of his life, Jimenez retired from the California Department of Corrections as a district administrator and continues to teach Administration of Justice courses at Hartnell College. He received a bachelor’s degree in management from Saint Mary’s College and earned a master’s degree from Arizona State University. He currently serves on the Association of California Cities Allied with Public Safety, the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority, and the Citizen Advisory Committee (alternate).
