In a word, this multifaceted department handles infrastructure. The Engineering Division is responsible for development review, encroachment issues, and management of capital projects within the town.

Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of streets and roadways. The department also provides drainage maintenance, street sweeping, striping of public parking stalls and crosswalks, stenciling of streets, and sign maintenance.

The Road Division has over 60 vehicles in stock with an average age of 9.5 years. The Facilities Maintenance Division oversees the operations of Town Hall, as well as all other properties owned or operated by the Town. And the Public Transportation Division offers both fixed-route and dial-a-ride service in the Truckee area.
