The Tahoe Transportation District announced the appointment of Andy Chapman as Chair of the Board of Directors and Brian Bigley as Vice Chair. These appointments reflect TTD's commitment to providing innovative and sustainable transportation solutions that enhance mobility, protect Lake Tahoe's unique environment, and meet the needs of residents and visitors alike.
The Tahoe Transportation District welcomed Jason Burke, AICP, as its new Senior Transportation Planner. Jason brings a wealth of experience in urban planning, stormwater management, and climate resilience to the role, further strengthening TTD's commitment to delivering sustainable and innovative transportation solutions for the Lake Tahoe region.
South Lake Tahoe transit options will be expanded during the Christmas/New Year's week with an increased schedule of motor coach round trips from Reno-Tahoe International Airport. In addition, free bus and shuttle routes throughout town for special events are expanding in 2025. The carless options also make for convenient and safe travel in snowy conditions for inexperienced winter drivers without 4-or all-wheel vehicles.
