The responsibilities of the Historic Resources Board include reviewing and making recommendations to the Architectural Review Board on proposed exterior changes of commercial and multiple-family buildings on the Historic Building Inventory. The seven members, appointed by the council, have demonstrated interest in and knowledge of history, architecture or historic preservation. One member should be an owner/occupant of a historic structure, or a structure in a historic district; three members are architects, landscape architects, building designers or other design professionals; and at least one member possesses academic education or practical experience in history or a related field.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 8:30 am.
