EMAIL   WEBSITE

The seven-member Human Relations Commission advocates for any individuals who do not benefit fully from public or private opportunities or resources or is differently treated due to factors of concern. These factors include “socioeconomic class or status, physical condition or handicap, married or unmarried state, emotional condition, intellectual ability, age, sex, sexual preference, race, cultural characteristics, ethnic background, ancestry, citizenship, and religious, conscientious or philosophical belief.” The commission considers inequities in housing, employment, education, and governmental services and benefits.

Meetings take place at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month and are cablecast live on Government Channel 26.
