Alison Hicks ran for a second term on the Mountain View City Council in 2022 and was reelected. A resident of Mountain View for more than 20 years, Alison Hicks raised two children and sent them to public schools. She has a master’s degree in city planning from UC Berkeley, and has worked on affordable housing, greening schoolyards, homeless transitional housing, planning walkable streets, and downtown revitalization. And she ran for the council in order to put that expertise to use. "I would like the next generation to look back on what I and the rest of council have built in this city with pride. I want Mountain View to be a place people feel happy and healthy living in, working in and visiting," Hicks told Los Altos Online.

First elected: November 6, 2018

Twitter Bio: “I support smarter growth, walkable streets and livable neighborhoods. I'll bring my rich experience in urban projects to the Mountain View City Council.”

Notable quote: “We can spark the solutions to the problems, but to solve them we have to go and speak to every city in the county. When we're tackling global and regional problems, we have to remember that in the end, Mountain View is home to tens of thousands of people." (Source: Mountain View Voice)
