The Woodland City Council is composed of five members, each representing a geographic district. Since the council switched to district elections in 2016, it has been using annual rotating terms for the office of mayor and mayor pro tempore.

Meetings: Meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of every month in the City Council Chambers at 300 First St, Woodland.

The Woodland City Council will consider and vote whether to approve a petition from Clark Pacific and Bayer Research and Development to extend the northern Urban Limit Line to encompass their properties. If approved by the council, it will them be placed on the 2026 ballot, to be decided by resident voters.
