The top vote-getter in the November 2022 Placerville City Council election is Nicole Gotberg. She was first appointed to the Placerville Planning Commission by a unanimous vote of the City Council in March 2021 and then served as the chair of the commission.


Gotberg has a bachelor of science degree in geology from the University of California, Davis. The licensed professional geologist also has a master’s degree from Princeton University and has worked as an environmental consultant with over 15 years of experience. She manages superfund, landfill, roads and water resources projects.
