The Salinas mayor and six councilmembers each annually appoint one member of the public to serve on an oversight committee for the revenue that the city receives from the tax approved by the voters in 2005. The committee prepares an annual report on the revenue received and offers spending recommendations. Committee members must be eligible city voters. The term of office is one year and members are eligible for reappointment.
Meeting schedule determined at the beginning of each year.
