City of Salinas Grievance Board

The Grievance Board serves as an impartial hearing body for city employees’ grievances and disciplinary actions. Unless specified otherwise, the board is composed of one regular member and one alternate member appointed by the City Council; one regular member recommended for appointment by the employee associations; and one regular member recommended by the other two regular members. Board members must be available to meet during regular business hours and may be called upon to consider matters over one or more days. Each serves one five-year term.
