The city encourages the preservation of the historical and architecturally significant resources in Grass Valley. It consists of five members and one alternate, each appointed by the council for a four-year term. The commission identifies and verifies historical resources within the city and encourages their preservation. The commission honors property owners who have maintained or restored historic sites, and also makes recommendations to the council regarding designation of additional landmarks.
Regular Commission meetings take place every second Tuesday of each month in the Bodmin Room at City Hall at 4 p.m.
