In her campaign literature, Erin Minett promised to represent a new “ear” while listening to Nevada City residents about local issues. These issues include sidewalks, traffic, parking, fire risks along Deer Creek and other areas, water bills, preserving Nevada City’s historical district and improving communication with City Hall. She also advocates paying more attention to residential areas. “We all pay our property taxes, and we get ignored. Too much attention seems to be paid to the historical downtown and to tourism,” she told the Union.
