Doug Fleming’s top three priorities on the Nevada City City Council are maintaining its small-town charm and character; restoring calm governance to the council table; and helping address fire, insurance, parking, homelessness and power outage issues. Currently the president of the Food Bank of Nevada County, Fleming sits on the Miners Foundry and Cultural Center governing board and served for six years on the Adult and Family Services Commission. Fleming earned his bachelor’s degree in political science at Vassar College and earned his law degree at Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law.
