Mindy Sotelo represents District 3 on the Board of Supervisors. Her district covers southwest Hollister, south of South Street and east to Memorial Drive. A fifth-generation native of San Benito County, Sotelo won the District 3 seat on the Board of Supervisors in the June 2022 primary, garnering 57.49 percent of the votes against two opponents: Eddie Alfaro (10.76 percent of the vote) and Hollister Councilmember Roman Resendiz (31.75 percent).


In addition to her work with the San Benito County Farm Bureau, Sotelo has raised three children with her husband and has served as president of Hollister Little League, president of the Baler Backers Athletic Organization, and a board member of Emmaus House.
