The Santa Cruz County Commission on the Environment advises the Board of Supervisors on policies and action programs. The commission makes recommendations on ways to improve and protect the environment to ensure the long-term environmental sustainability of the county. The five supervisors each nominate two people who reside within their districts.
Meetings are held six times a year in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers in the County Governmental Center unless held remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
