The Historic Resources Commission is made up of five members, one appointed by each county supervisor. The commission holds regular meetings quarterly, with additional special meetings as needed, during which it reviews proposals to amend the Historic Resources Inventory, applications for changes to the exterior of properties included on the Historic Resources Inventory, and other duties pertaining to historic preservation. Instructions for participating in the remote public hearings are posted on the Planning Department webpage prior to the meeting date.

In 2021, the commission meets at 9:30 a.m. on January 11, April 5, July 12, and October 4.
